I think they all came with it, just pull the snap-ring, pull the shaft, turn it around and put it back in.

case online parts lookup does NOT show reversible pto shaft for 870

They had it as an option. I've owned half a dozen or so and they all had it.

Wasn't an option, it was standard. Dual PTO. Took 45 seconds to switch from 540 to 1,000.

It was an option, parts book has a listing for both single and dual speed pto. Only ever seen the single speed on one striped down 770 gas I owned. Narrow front, gas, 8 speed, no tilt steering, 540 pto, hydraulic brakes. Couldn't get it much cheaper
