Hello everyone, new here so forgive any mistakes.
Question is i have a IH 986, sometimes when I cut the pto on it runs fine, next time I can cut it on nothing happens, I can let it sit with pto ingaged and after about 5 min it will start running and has no problem pulling a bush hog.All hydraulic fluids and filters changed, did this about 2 years ago then worked fine till the last 3 months. I do all my own work but need ideas before I pull pto asy out. Thanks. .

Take A pressure reading and see what your pressures are at Sounds like you got some Teflon rings on the drum that is bad but the pressures should tell you what it?s doing is if you got pressure right off the bat that means you got internal leakage it sounds I Always put new seal rings on they are not that hard it just takes time hose clamps and some cardboard check pressures
