Googling John Deere 303 engine turns up several hits for overhaul kits and parts. Just curious what issues does your engine have? I have two 303s one which gets water in the oil sitting over winter and the other was overhauled at 1,500 hrs for the same reason. From what I read it was somewhat of a common issue.

I got a 105, maybe it would be cheaper to drain the old oil cold, and keep a eyes on, it. That Ethylene Glycol does some funny things when it gets cold outside.
