Hi everyone..new to the board here. Just picked up my first tractor and had it delivered yesterday. It's a 275. Today I was running my brush hog and it ran great for around 3 hours. All of a sudden my steering just went out. I could turn left and straighten out a bit but coming back through my gate when I turned the wheel right and still wanted to drift left. I had to put it in reverse and back to the left to get through. Anyway, I have taken my right side panel off as well as the front grill but don't see anything broken. Not totally sure what I might be looking for
There did look to be some oil under the cylinder but not a ton. Is there anything specific I should look for? Also, is there a way to get my wheels straight so I can at least get it to my shop? Any help would be beyond helpful. Thanks

I have. Nothing appears to be out of place. There does look to be a leak out of the cylinder at the shaft maybe. I turn the wheel and nothing moves. There is no steering shaft. Looks like the hydraulic pump is at the front of the motor, right side, lines run up and under to the steering wheel, lines out to the front left side to the cylinder. Could it be just fluid? I cannot find what fluid to use. Best i stumbled across was a notice saying that the pump should be so far full and shaft should be all the way in when checking. Mine now is all the way out as wheels are turned to the left.

Is there any resistance when turning the steering wheel? If not than it could be low on fluid.

There's not. I added some fluid. The cylinder may move about a half inch max. The wheels are to the extreme left, won't turn more than maybe an inch to the right. Curious if the shaft could be bound inside somehow or is there any possibility that an old filter in the pump could result in this? Really have no idea. I wouldn't think the shaft would move at all if the pump was bad?

Try taking a long pipe between the tire and the metal upright part of the axle to straighten it up

Doesn't look like that's working. Can't get them to turn. I looked the other day and my son would turn the wheel to the right and the cylinder might move a half inch or so. Wheels wouldn't turn. You could turn to the left and the wheels would attempt to turn that way a bit but stop. Cylinder looks to maybe move a half inch either way. What's the possibility of it somehow being jammed up inside the ram? Could a filter in the pump be causing the problem?
