I see there is a 2255 MFWD on auction time that someone has butchered up. By the serial number it should have a 3150 in it and someone has put a 3208 truck engine? in it. I don't even know where a person would even start to find the parts to bring it back to original. What a way to wreck a classic tractor. I think I'll pass on this one. Also I think they have the serial numbers out of order for the 2255's on Tractor Data. I guess I will just keep looking for the rite one.

I looked at the ad on auction time, and I don't think I would call it a nice "original" tractor. An example of someone doing what they felt they had to do to keep going, yes. Nice original, no. Hopefully it finds a new home where someone enjoys it, or assists in keeping some others alive.

Now that is a pretty nice original. I almost bought a 1900 MFWD about 5 years ago, was getting ready to send the money and the guy backed out. I want a 2255 MFWD to go with my 2150 MFWD.

Thought you wanted stable mate's. But wouldn't it be nice doing field work with a screaming Jimmy in the middle of the night. I think i might get a lottery ticket tomorrow . you can see she has been used but not abused.good luck with your search.

I wouldn't mind it having the 3208, since later ones used them. What is the difference between the truck and tractor engines? I know the governor should be different and I can see the exhaust manifolds are different. What else?
