830 relief valve

Where is hydraulic relief valve located, how is adjustment made? 830 Comfort King, gas.

The relief valve is in the remote valve which is above the PTO housing. You need to remove the operator's seat to get to it. On most 830 CKs the relief valve is on the bottom and you have to take the remote valve off the tractor to get to it. The plug takes a 1-1/4" wrench. There are two O-rings that must be in good shape or the pressure will be low. the pressure is adjusted with shims.
On some early production CKs the relief valve is on the back of the remote and you can get to it after the seat is removed. The bigger "hex" removes the valve and there is an O-ring under it that must be in good shape. The smaller hex lets you get to the shims on that style valve.
I don't explain things very well but I hope this helps. Maybe some one else will help out.
