They'd lose money here! Almost an hour from (small) town and 20+ miles of very dusty sandy-gravel roads. ...Not sure I could justify the service.

We always know when someone is just visiting in the area..........it's a clean, shiny truck! *lol*

Back in the 1970's when vehicles were infinitely more simple and easy to work on, a kid who worked for me quit and started a business where he'd do tune-ups, brakes, and service work at customer's residences or places of employment.

His last name was "O'Toole", and he called his business "'Toole's Traveling Tuneup". He did it for several years, but I don't think it worked out quite like he had hoped.

Yeah, some things DO make sense having it done at home/work: windshield replacement for instance. But gassing up your car? Think about it. Someone will gas up your car, you'll get into it and drive off probably passing dozens of gas stations on the way to wherever you're going. Plus, the gas-sipping cars that people who would use this service don't take long to fill up. Most have 12 gal or so tanks. So, probably less than a 5 minute pit stop to top off the tank. Putting in their debit card and entering pin # probably takes longer than to actually pump the gas. Laughing

Anyway, there are apps coming out every day for some of the most inane things because there are hordes of people out there whose dream is to be the next Google or Facebook or Uber. Their overriding objective is to get rich like Mark Zuckerberg with one app for a phone or one website that gets bought for a bazillion dollars. They're not real passionate about the concept behind the product. Just as long as it brings in the money. And they want it QUICK! You don't see the old paradigm anymore where you start a business at something you enjoy and are good at to make a living for you and your family and maybe pass down to your kids. I think farmers still farm because they love it but passing it down to the kids probably is not a slam dunk anymore. It's all about fast, easy $$$ with most millennials.
