Comfort King 730. The range shift lever is on the left side of the column. H-S-L...High range, Start, Low range.

Remove the floor plate and I suspect you will find the range shift coming out of the transmission! It appears from your photo that the short lever and likely the connecting linkage on the left of the steering column is missing. You may find it was removed due to a problem in the range transmission.

If you look close at the picture you can see the range lever beside the column.

You are so right, case collector! I missed seeing that knob hiding behind the steering wheel. I did see the slot in the dash which made me think the lever was missing.

It has a yellow steering post, my guess now is 65-66, after seeing a pic of it, and the range control as Steve mentioned
