That 500 was on an online auction over in the thumb a few years ago. I thought somebody would have restored it,but it looks exactly like it did when it sold.

That Must Green LP 880 was said to be 1 of 12 produced.

That MFWD 1555 is a sweet looking machine. Tractor data does not show that MFWD was an option for the 1555. Is that an omission or was the tractor in the pic built up from other parts?

I am not sure if the MFWD was a available
option for those tractors or not. It could
possibly have been a dealer add on or
someone else installed it along the way. I
have seen a 1600 with front wheel assist
before.

When you posted it upstairs a few days ago,I said it must be the only one in the world. I'm standing by that for now.

I was just looking at that 500 again. I never saw decals like that on one before. They have the oval Oliver emblem on them. This could throw a wrench in Nelson and Jim's attempt to perfect a correct set of decals for them.

I'm thinking that the oval is another decal placed over the first decal. You can still see the R from the earlier decal.

On the 1555 mfwd, how did they lube the transfer case as the 15 series did not have the oil pump like the 16 series and up. If that 1555 utility wasn't made from a 1550 it is a rare bird!

Yup,I see it now. When that thing was on that auction a few years ago,the first thing that caught my eye was how somebody went crazy with sticking decals all over it. I made a few bids on it,but if memory serves me right,it ended up right up there in the $4000 range before it was all over with.

Boy, that's a lot more than I'd pay for one (unless it was s/n 001 Wink). A decent 600 would maybe get me to go that high though.

Anyone have more info on this 1555 fwa? Someone mentioned a problem with the oil pump, so it was not a simple swaping parts.

Thanks
