Does anyone know if you have to disconnect the front sway bar and the right sway bar link plus the right tire rod from the drag link to remove the right side axle tube containing the axle? I know I need to unbolt the outer axle shaft from the housing, but can you then just disconnect the electrial connectors from the axle tube, remove the bolts from the differential and take it out?
Thanks,
Bill

I believe that you will still have to open up the carrier cover, remove thecenter pin from the carrier to gain enough room to push the axle inward to remove the axle retaining clip,( looks like a large thick washer that is missing about a 1/3 of it ) some call it a C clip, hope this helps.Truckintom
