A friend found this wooden sheller at an antique shop. I know it has been modified as to keep people?s fingers out of the sheller. He wants to restore this sheller and would like some idea as to who manufacturered it. I hope the pictures help you identify it. Any help would be appreciated

Can't identify, but I have a crooked finger from being pinched in the exposed gears on a similar corn sheller. Older brother was cranking and I was seeing how close I could get and pull my hand away at the last minute. Maybe 5 or 6 years old at the time.

My guess would be IHC. I had one that was similar but mine was the all metal version.

Guess there are no letters stamped on the hand crank.

The crank handle has no casting numbers. There are a couple of parts that has letters and numbers cast in them. I will get those casting numbers and it might take a couple of days to get them.

I have an Appleton New Badger 2 hole sheller that appears to be like that one. There are quite a few pieces of the feed mechanism missing from that one.

Butch. If this is an Appleton New Badger. You mentioned it was missing a few parts from the feed mechanism. Were there some small pieces of wood or metal pieces that helped pull the corn cobs in the sheller? If you have some good pictures could you please post them? Thanks in advance
