Hello. Is anyone familiar with how to get the oil out of the main gear box on a John Deere 430 baler? Any comments appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You have 2 choices either siphon old oil out or remove gearbox then remove drain plug on bottom of box or turn gearbox over to drain oil.

Siphon with a battery water filler syringe (red bulb, black plastic snauze) "hootus", available everywhere. Works just fine and much less of a problem than the removal. If you want, do it several times over a time period.
