Looked at a model 65 today -not running engine probably locked up. I am an IH man and wondered what?s the parts availability for that continental engine and the rest of the tractor? Not sure if it has a problem with the gearbox either.
Thanks

Late 65s with the Perkins diesel were a darn good tractor. But, they are pushing 60 years old, and a lot have been driven hard since they were a good sized tractor in their day. A lot of parts are available.

The 65 gas was equipped with the Continental G-176 engine. I found out last fall that the governor is nla. Mine was rusted and stuck in the wide open position. I took it apart, sanded off the rust, lubed it, put it back together and it works. I think normal overhaul parts are readily available for the G-176.
