I have a 1950 8N and need a oil fitting for my oil filter (87971-S) but am having trouble finding any. Would appreciate
any info from all. Yesterdays doesn't seem to carry any.

Local auto supply store or hardware.. Standard 1/8 X 7/16-24 connector.

1/8" male pipe thread X 1/4" inverted flare (which has the 7/16-24 internal threads).

Found fittings at the old time hardware store in town. Showed one to the guy, he dug around in the drawers and annonced he had one but I wouldn't like the price. Didn't care, they at least had it.

Found one at Advanced Auto Parts for $4.99 and it fixed the
oil leak fine. I learned that trying to stop a oil leak by applying
too much strength on the fitting doesn't work. Thanks for your
input.
