Hey guys.

So in the last few days I have replaced my axle seals, shimmed the axles correctly (phew!), and put in new brake pads and cleaned the whole area up.

With the tractor on jack stands, I adjusted the brake adjuster so I felt some resistance from the new pads when I spun each wheel by hand and then backed it off a few clicks (4 I think) until the wheel spun freely.

When I spun the wheels (again, by hand), and pushed on the master brake pedal, the wheels stop. When I push the independent pedals, each wheel stops. When I remove the jack stands, start her up, and go for a drive, I have no brakes (however hard I push on ANY pedal)??

What adjustment or issue am I missing here?

Sorry if this has been covered before, and if so, please point me to the thread I cannot find when I search.

Thank you.

Scott.

You put on new brake shoes and didn't get the drums turned is the first mistake. I am currently suffering that mistake also.
Brake adjust is nice. Wrap a bungee cord around the master pedal, pull up and remove all slack from the pedal movement. Redo your brake
adjust and next time only back it off three clicks and see what you get. Still not working? Yeah. Get the drums turned.
