Had the 715 diesel hydro out today and it was running great when all of a sudden I developed big miss and then a nock. Changed all 3 fuel filters still there. Started cracking injector lines loose and it appears to me that some injectors are getting a lot more fuel to them than others. How can this be the injection pump only has 1 plunger. I took injectors out and pop tested them all passed. If i lossen number 6 the knock goes away. Engine black smokes at idle to. Ideas? Gonna take injection pump off next. O it's the 310 German diesel.

Perhaps a broken rocker arm? I had that happen on my IH 1456 with the 407 disc-chiseling a few years back. Changed filters first, cracked lines second, pulled valve cover third and
found the problem. Let us know what you find.

I doubt it's the pump. Taking fuel away from that cylinder, and the knock stops says injector sticking open, or engine trouble.

You are lucky, usually the throttle and spill control shafts stick before the delivery valves do..
