can anyone tell me what fitting the master and slave cylinders need for the lines? I found replacements online but for 100 bucks each I think I can save some money and make them out of hard line or make hoses at work. I am not home for another week and a half so I check for myself at the moment. can I just make them like I would for a car out of tubing?

I just would like them for loading and unloading mainly or working in tight spots where I might need them. I've got everything but the hoses, needing to know if it's just pipe thread or if I need a flared line like an automotive master cylinder and what size.

If it were me I would fix the brakes. If you are on any slope and the engine stops for whatever reason, there is nothing to keep that machine from rolling down hill. It has happened to me several times and believe me, you can get into a lot of trouble real quick. Most of the time you can do all of the turning by using the HI LO or N for one track or the other. This is a good machine but it is also very dangerous and the brakes are there for a real good reason, they could save your life.

Agreed Phil H of course the brakes should be working that's why they were put on there in the first place, see all the guys on here trying to get their loading shovels to drive because they were using them with out brakes slamming from forward to reverse to stop going forward and vise versa when reversing, childish and would be illegal in my neck of the woods, any machine working on contracts has to have a yearly inspection,ie machines with enclosed cab must be fully glazed with wipers and washers working, back up beeper, back up mirror, close proximity mirror on excavators, best thing that ever happened as it keeps the equipment up to scratch.
