I have an oliver 550 gas tractor without a PTO.

How hard is it to add the PTO?
Are parts available to add a PTO?
Where do I get the parts if they're available and what all is involved?

It's a great tractor and pulls strong. The lift works well. I just wish it had a PTO. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Jamie

Is the lever there? There's a stub shaft that comes out,but the internals are there. I'm just wondering if that's what your situation is or if there's more on the inside that you don't have?

If it does not have an internal pto clutch (mid section of the tractor) you are looking at lots of labor and money! If just rear shaft is missing not such a big deal.

Thanks, Kent. Are we talking about used parts? or is there an aftermarket kit for this? Just trying to see what this looks like. And what are we looking at for cost...ball park.

I wasn't able to find your email.

Thanks,
Jamie

The cheapest and easiest way to add PTO
would be to buy a tractor with PTO.
