No, the computer is getting worse and at the same time I'm putting more stress on it because of the transition to the new servers. I'll reset the database again which usually helps. I'll look for a slow time this morning. The solution will come in a few days, we are nearly ready to cut over to the new machines.

Ok that could explain things.
Please don't change like the Smokstak did. It changed to a new format that is now running people off. It has so
many differant shades of colors. That it is giving some of us real problems. I have been on there for twenty
years. But unless he changes things back. I will be gone.

We are changing only the infrastructure that supports the site. There are some things we will be able to do as a result, the edit function is the one that sticks out, but that's just putting something back in we were forced to remove in 2015. But the fact is the site will look and operate identically in every way aside from performance and reliability.

We don't make changes like so many do. This community is not much interested in change or we'd all have modern tractors. We try to only fix what is broken, and your post is pointing out what we are trying to fix.

As far as the change you see on other sites, often they have no choice, if they don't change, they get no support. Kim and I support our stuff ourselves so that is less of an issue. Just saying I can understand why a site flips their user interface upside down, if they don't, they may not be able to stay up and running.

I have also been seeing that problem now for the last week or so but figured it had to do with your switching over to the new server

It's both. As you saw, it was already really having database problems and running slow, getting the errors, but I'm adding to that in that I have to keep the new servers synced continuously while we wait to move over. It's like running a continuous backup and if you remember, my backups hang the server for periods.
