1947 Ferguson TE20 break problem

I have a 1947 Ferguson TE20.
When i hit the break pedal, a loud knocking noise appears and the left wheel locks up.

What can be the problem?

Consider to Inspect and dismantle before the components lock up and destroy itself........

Has the brake lining become loose??
