I don't know the model number of your tractor, but they were not home made. They were assembled in Stroudsburg, Pa. and they were made with parts from the Model T Fords and later from the Model A Fords. Nice units. Some had gang type reel type mowers attached to them. They steered from the back. |

I have a Worthington Highway Chieftain with side sickle mower that hasn't run in decades. Anyone interested in purchasing for parts? |

Located in Dexter, Michigan (near Ann Arbor, MI). Side mount sickle mower is attached on the other side of tractor photo, the top of the bar extends above the tractor. You may call me at 734-994-0101.

Oh, man- an early (tubular front axle) 1940's "Highway Chieftain"!
It was basically Worthington's 6 cylinder Dodge powered "Golf Chief" tractor, just with different nose emblems and the sickle bar mower was standard equipment. On machines ordered by the Ohio State Highway Department, those rear fenders were standard equipment, but for everyone else, they were optional.
You are even too close to me- an hour or two at the most. I'm going to have to think on this a few days- hopefully, someone else will buy it.... |

Mostly worthington, They added a tailshaft to the drop box to run 4 wheel drive also add power steering and front frame for plow. Model F built '53/'55 same time as the G2 and G4. T-9 borg warner trans with E brake. The model just after my Chief. And the model F just after that one, not mine.
