I have a 1957 MM335 that has a loader. It is pushing hydraulic fluid into the transmission case. I beleave thought the vent tube. Is there any other places it could be doing this? I split the tractor this weekend because fluid was coming out of the front case where the clutch is which makes since because the cases were completely full of oil. When I drained I removed 14+ gallons from the trans and diff case. |

Pump shaft seal can leak and dump oil into the rear end. |

Thanks Chris, I will take a look at that. Would there be any reason to remove the hydraulic tank setup or just the pump to inspect the seal. |

If the pump feeds the resevoir through the rearend casting, like the early 445, it can also leak at the O-rings between the 3 point and rearend. Never seen one do that but some I've taken apart sure looked suspect. Just a thought |

That is what I was hoping to rule out. Easier to remove the pump than the tank but sounds like I may need to do both.
The hydraulic tank will almost completely empty its self, thoughts? |

I don't know what length of time it takes to empty the tank. But removing the 3PT is not that difficult. Just four main stud nuts and a couple of lines.There are two O rings under the 3Pt on a sleeves in the pressure passage under the unit. Does it leak down when it sits? There is an O Ring between the pump and the case on the pressure port also. |

It's hard to tell if it leaks down the side since the trans vent tube has been pouring oil out of it there's oil everywhere. I guess I'm just going to replace the one oring on the pump and the two under the housing and go from there.
Any idea on the size of the orings? |

Also, in heavy use it will take a day or two to completely empty the tank |

On the pressure galley, all 3 O rings are the same 2 under the 3Pt and 1at the pump. Part 10A6329, O ring #113.
On the suction side The one under the 3Pt is 11A13552 it is a doughnut shape type of seal 3/4 ID, 1/4 thick. No pressure there, you should be able to silicon it around the outside. My book dose not show the seal at the pump on the suction side. My guess it is an O ring. You will have to use the old one for size.
