160 for a gasser. 180 for diesel.

My 3020 always ran to the warm side anyway. I'm not sure the 160 thermostat would have helped because I think the coolant capacity was a little small. I was going off the original gauge so who knows how accurate it was, never go thot enough to boil over just toward the high side.

. Gasser should also run at 195F . Hotter engine improves vaporization from liquid state .
