I am eyeing up a 7010 with a power director transmission. I am not familiar with them. Have a 7010 with a 12 speed power shift which is a great tractor. Have had no troubles with it. I am just curious about the power director transmission. I would like to hook it to a disc bine and use for field work.
Thanks

Power Director transmission is fine. Has more speeds than your current Power Shift trans. Just have to stop the tractor from moving to change gear selections.

I also have a 7010 power shift, I was told the power director not good for baling or grain cart but pretty good for field work/mowing etc.

My buddy had a 7000 with a 3 speed power
director. He kept it forever just to mow
hay with a 13 ft disc mower. It had a
perfect 6 mph gear with 2 small downshifts
for ditches and corners. Has a new MF now.
Says it is no better to mow with.
