Neighbor stopped in and said that he has a 2 row cultivator for a C buried in his barn and is going to get it out and get rid of it. Is this of any value to anyone or just take it to the scrap yard?? Located in NW Illinois. Thanks, Chris

Definitely worth something to the right people. I've seen them sell for $200 or so. Just make sure it's complete.

There's someone out there who wants it. Good luck finding them. If I still had a C, I'd take it and store it, for the future, to go with the tractor if I sold it. But I'm in NY, and the travel wouldn't be worth it.
I tried and tried to sell a complete two row cultivator off a JD B for a neighbor. It ended up being scrapped. I'd seen want ads before, and since, but could never connect with anyone serious.
Maybe there's a surplus of JD machines? I've owned two AC B's, and one C, and most came with attachments. Plows [even a two way] cultivator, mower, etc. I had no trouble selling them. I eventually sold the tractors and went to something which was easier to get this aging body on and off!

If I was closer. Id be interested In them . Id still be interested in them if they had a fertilizer distributor and planter with them. Id make the drive that. Do they have these items with them?
Also if he ends up parting it out Id be interested In buying a couple of the spring trip feet off of it and maybe the large spring that goes on the long rods to the front of the cultivators.
But someone out there will probably be interested In The whole set, although they arent as in demand as they used to be.
But it would be nice to have a set on my restored C.
Good luck with them. If he parts them out please let us know as I would be interested in the above items.
Thank you

Many of the parts will fit other AC cultivators well worth getting.

I saved some of what was left of a C cultivator but my brother took the tractor. That cultivator is pretty dedicated to C so the parts aren't good for much unless everything is still there and you have a C Allis? I think some of the levers and frame stayed on the tractor. The shanks and shovels got used on other cultivators so that was universal. If I had the tractor it would be nice to have the complete Implements? Cleddy

It might fit a B or CA too especially with a little adapting as they are very similar.

My Grandfather had a C years ago, but it is long gone. I told him I would help him get it out next week sometime. He said if anyone wanted it, he would give it to them or else he will scrap it just to rid of it. I told him I would help try to find a home for it. I don't think it has a fertilizer attachment, but it's still buried in his barn. I'll post pictures when we get it out.

I might have found a home for the cultivator, a young fella I know in Wisconsin has a CA and he's interested in seeing it when we get it out of the barn.
