case 310f throttle linkage

my throttle hand lever on dash has slowly quit working, its the cross shaft where the plate connects for the hand throttle I have it out it lose where flops back in forth doesn't move the shaft my question is how does this work foot peddle and governor are on the same cross shaft I hope this makes sense Thanks for all help.

Sounds like either the shaft has worn or the hole it goes into has worn.

I would buy or make some bushings to tighten up the wear if you can't replace what is worn
