Anyone have clear pictures or video of installing the thermostat on the 8N? I have looked and the only one I saw was dark and the guy was blocking the view. Thanks

Sorry I have never put one in. Do you have a picture? Does the whole thing go inside the hose?

One thing I learned from being a newbie installing an 8N thermostat last fall: it helps to have the inside of the radiator hose wetted with coolant when trying install a thermostat. (Otherwise, nudging the dry thermostat into place inside the middle of a dry radiator hose isn't effortless.)

There are a many archived post on installing the thermostat. Best to get the rubber hose pliable first by immersing in hot water for 5-10 minutes then try using dish soap on the unit to insert. NOTE: The pointed end of thermostat goes towards the front of tractor nearest radiator. Bruce(VA) did a write-up on the N cooling a few issues back. You can get a copy of it at The N-News.
