I put this simple system together years ago. It allows you to check out the pressure settings and check for leakage BEFORE the valve is reinstalled. Case sold a manual hand pump for this same procedure that works better because of the increased oil flow per pump but I never had a chance to buy one yet. So if you are like me and dont have one, this works fine, Rod.

Nice. Thats the way to do it. Sure beats pulling the valve back off because of an assembly error with the relief o-rings. Been there. Should be able to check the thermals are holding as well? Feed the hand pump in to the outlet ports and tee in the guage or watch for leakage?

Yep they can be tested this way and watch for pressure drop, just have to move the gauge to the other outlets, Rod.

Don I thought of you when a customer carried in the valve and wanted it tested, I was sure you would appreciate the photo, Rod.

Years ago I put something together bearing a crude resemblance. Used my bale sticker pump, must have done what I needed. This was on the 970. Would have more volume for sure. BUT not near as nice as Rods. Tom
