I'd swear these days Deere makes more money licensing the colors and logos than on machinery.

I had a friend that worked at a Harley Davidson dealership in the 1990s and at that time they made 60% of their profits off of officially licensed clothing.

A bike would cost you 15k, but everybody could afford a closet full of HD T-shirts, hats, boots, belts, jackets and anything else that came in XXL.

I'd bet John Deere was right up there with them, along with Coca-Cola

They made frames for motor homes and maybe other stuff.

think it was a 440?

I had a JDX 8 and a Sportfire 440. They stopped at all salt licks.. The Phasers and others drove around me. I guess the only thing good to come of it , the Sportfire was new and interest free as Deere was dumping the sled line..

John Deere himself built log chains ox yokes double and single trees and built plow bottoms out of saw blades he also made candles to donate to the local schools he also made pitchforks .
