I have a 560 cockshutt with a bad motor ,it has a original perkins diesel motor. Does anyone know is there a later model perkins motor that will fit in this tractor

I always wanted a 560 to haul grain with. I wanted to repower it with a 300 or 318 Perkins. Phil had on here once to let him know and would tell you what was needed. There is also a 560 at a show south of here where the man shoe horned a 354 Perkins in there.

do you know does the 300 or 318 perkins fit if i use the orginal parts off the 560 cockshutt motor ?

Don't mean to steal your thread but, what years were the 560s built? Worked for my uncle and drove a brand new 560 with a comfort cover on in the spring of maybe 63?? Had that howl in third gear like his 40 had.

the tractor was made 1958-1961, still trying to find a later model perkins engine that will fit in there

I have a 4.236T in mine. I had to modify the back plate but the flywheel bolted right on and I made some front mounts since the 236 is shorter.

In regaurds to the 4.236T Perkins motor where can i find one and does the front of the motor hook up easy like waterpump and radiator

The motor I found was out of a telehandler of some kind. You need to make a longer fan shroud because the motor is shorter.
