I have a friend with a 2-14 3pt plow. It has CX 14 moldboards with good landsides and good shares. They are rusty but not to bad. It does not have coulters or clamps. It does not have a rolling landside. What would this plow be worth to a Case collector? |

Value on something like this is tough to determine without knowing the exact wear condition of the plow parts and the completeness of the plow. Also, there are several different plows which could have used CX-14 bottoms. Additionally, value varies a lot depending on location.
Generally, a plow needs to be in working condition, with nothing bent, broken, missing, or frozen, to bring good money. Also, the more special features it has, the better.
I suggest that $100 per bottom is a good starting place for a working-condition plow. Of course, it would be worth more if everything were in excellent condition and the paint were fresh. I think that a plow in this condition might bring as much as $350 per bottom if someone really wanted it.
Also, I should point out that that above values are only intended for one, two, and three bottom plows. Larger plows are not usually worth as much per bottom. |

This fall I purchased a 2/16 BER plow for my SC, very complete and always shedded w/origonal paint, about 50 miles N of Mpls. I paid $350. The breakaway feature was lubed and in nice shape. I sold off a 2/14 plow that was a more inexpensive series, probably for a VAC that did not have a breakaway for the bottoms. That went for $225 in Central MN. |

I forgot how to use that edit button again......Both plows are/were complete. The 2/16 has a gauge wheel. Earlier in the summer I sold a 3/14 BER, also with the side or gauge wheel, for an eagle hitch DC for $300. That's my 2 bits |
