Hi,
I'm new here and could use some advice on the Case 530 loader/backhoe I just bought. I need a manual for it and I'm having some trouble identifying my machine.
The loader and backhoe each have matching serial number tags and they both say Model 31. There are manuals available for the Model 31, which is great, but those manuals only cover the loader and the backhoe, not the tractor.
I believe this is some form of Case 530 because on the backhoe itself, I can see where there used to be a sticker that said Case 530.
The only other serial number plate I can find is on the right side of the engine block and that plate has a serial number, but no model number. When I go to the website for the local Case dealer and type in that serial number, their tool isn't able to identify the tractor. The Case rep told me to try and find a tractor model number, but so far, no luck.
I have read that some Case tractors have a serial number plate on the dash near the instrument gauge, but my tractor does not have that (nor does it look there was ever one there).
I have also read that Case made a Construction King backhoe with the designation CK, but I have found no evidence of that on my machine. I'm guessing my backhoe is pre-CK.
This is what I know:
Loader/Backhoe: Model 31 S/N 4069921
Engine S/N 2004904
If you have any idea how to narrow this down to an applicable manual, please let me know.
Thanks!

sounds like a 530CK, the serials you listed are only for the loader and backhoe attachments, the tractor tag should be on the RH side panel as sitting on the tractor, many of these are lost due to some one removing the tin

My Case hoe/loader, while it came as a unit, has a
separate instruction manual for the loader, hoe and
tractor. The parts books are are also separate, by
serial number. There are lots of subtle changes
and many manuals so be sure they do indeed match.
The power unit or tractor has it's own instruction,
parts and service manuals. Mine is a 310B 1959
model which preceded the 530 series |

I might be corrected on this but I think the 580CK had a 32 backhoe and the 530 had a 31 backhoe. Can you put on a picture. If you just google 530CK or 580CK backhoe there is lots of pictures. DB |

My 580CK TLB has a 1967 #33 Backhoe on it. That is only S/N plate still on it. It has a decal that says 580 on the hood. Rich Tworek, before he retired, identified that the hoe was made in '67 so I am assuming the whole tractor was made then.

Here's a photo of the tractor:

The old decal on the side of the hoe can still be seen as "Case 530" but I need to figure out what manuals to order for the engine.
Thanks!
