I just bought an old Gehl G-700 running gear. I'm guessing it was built in the 1950's or earlier. It has round pipe standards on the axles. I'm looking for an owner's manual with part numbers although I'm sure most parts are no longer available. I have a Gehl manual which shows gears G500, 606, 806, 1006, 1056, and T760 but no 700. I've tried the usual places - emailed Gehl with a response that they couldn't help me, looked on eBay with no help there. Any ideas on where else to look?

I will have to look in my binder to see if there is a manual for one.

Why would you need a manual for a running gear? All parts can be made at a machine/weld shop easier than finding factory parts. Probably cheaper as well.

Weld on hubs are common sizes and replaceable with a torch and welder. The weld shop I work at part time, stocks the 6 hole and 5 hole hubs for wagons. Even some 8 hole hubs.

Yes, the model number, G-700, and serial number, 16180, are both still visible on the tag that is riveted on the rear of the back axle. Thanks for looking.

Yes, I agree with you that I don't need a manual. Especially this gear because every part is there and in pretty good condition. But I enjoy having a manual as an important part of the gear's history. Also it shows each individual part so I know what to expect when taking it apart and putting it back together. I have done this to 9 gears and have found a manual to be helpful.
