Such a loss to the tractor community!!!!!!
My wife and I visited the welter dealership in 2013 when I started my M.M.UTN restoration.
WE are from California and that family treated us like they had known us forever.
His wonderful wife & daughters & granddaughters were all helping in the office and Ed & his son & grandson in the shop.
He gave me the most interesting tour & explained the tractor models and years. I could of moved in with them I was so impressed with their family and business.
I finished my UTN with their help and have continued doing business with them on Propane items.
You see, I am a I.H. collector of the tractors my Dad had when I was growing up .My dad died when I was 20 and he had had a new M.M. utn L.p. and Mr.& Mrs. welters and family helped me honor my Dad with that tractor.
Many of my Dad's Farmalls were on L.P. also and they will close their eyes to the red paint and repair the old ensign equipment for me.
I have hats, calendars, and large paper clip they gave us and they are stored in a lttle M.M. display I have in my office
God Bless the family and our prayers are with them.
