Hi Everyone,

I've been away a long time, but received excellent help here when I was restoring my 1942 C in 2000/2001. When I changed oil in the tractor this spring to get ready for mowing, I noticed the "spear" for the oil filter was loose. No big deal, tap it down to tighten it up like I've done in the past, finish the maintenance and start it up. No oil pressure! Took off the line feeding the oil filter housing, started the tractor, oil flows....must be a bad gauge. Replaced the gauge, still no pressure, recheck the oil line - oil still flows.
Removed the oil filter housing and the fitting below the spear to find I'd driven the spear into the fitting and blocked the oil flow to the gauge. Moved the spear up, red locktighted it in, and all is well.
I figured I'd confess my sins here in case someone else happens to drive the spear in too deep.
