Allis B engine drain plug- Dick L

Just curious if anyone knows what thread size tho engine oil drain plug is on my 38 b? Old one is all buggered up and destructive removal is necessary. Old one looks like a 1/4 inch pipe plug but not sure either.

I think more like 3/8" NPT.

I would guess 1/4" pipe.

I picked up this A-C book a while back just because it was Allis.
It lists standard parts by their description and Allis part number.
I found this page which lists the various drain cocks used on Allis tractors.
You may be able to find the one you're looking for here.

3/8" pipe plug

3/8" tapered pipe thread in the pan, Several different styles of plugs of that thread can be found in old tractors.

others anyway. Just wanted to make sure it was
without a doubt pipe thread before I drilled it out.
