I asked for some direction on building a tool to adjust the 560 PTO with external adjustment. I have seen it in the service manual but needed some direction. I was surprised with all the knowledge here that no one offered a suggestion. I have since removed the box and figured out how to build a tool that will work to push the lock away from the adjuster. I am willing to share my tool configuration with others who may have a question.

The tool shown in the tech manual is a piece of metal with several bends. I had and old medium sized screw driver with about an 8 inch shank. I bent it approximately 1 1/2 inches from the outer end about 60 degrees. I was going to put more bends in it like the tool has but found with the pto brake in position per the book, put screw driver in adjustment hole, bent tip down, it will push against the lock button to release it. If you have the service book this will be more clear.

I have the books and have looked at the drawings.

Some day when I have to adjust I will make up a tool
