Both wheels are locked in. Bought it like this. I took the hydraulic line loose next to it so i can see inside. The lever will not stay in the up or down positiion...springs back to center. Works smoothly. Not sure how its suppose to be but thought it suppose to stay in one position or another. I looked inside...shaft turns ...up or down brings fork area away from fork side. The fork part itself does not turn with the shaft...only pulls away from wall. ........i guess my next move tomorrow is to pull the shaft out. --- i dont know what my question is but if anyone is familar with this setup and have advice let me know ....i already rocked the wheels with no luck btw...thanks.

The pedal and linkage are working normally. A common failure is one or more of the pins that actually lock the differential break free from the carrier ring and remain engaged.

Differential needs to come out. You'll need to remove the 3-point lift cover, rear wheels, roll bar, fenders, final drives, etc. to get at the diff.

Depends on what the damage is inside. If the ends of the pins are peened over, or mangled in any way, it may be very difficult to pop it loose without going inside. At a minimum you'll likely be pulling the top cover off to try and wiggle it free with a pry bar.

If you look at part #25 in Joe's link below, you'll see the pins in question.

The pins are free to float in and out of the locked position randomly. Not a good situation.
