I believe we might have made history this season with 2 ford 642s in the same field at the same time running together maybe not history but for this day n time it is unheard of and never before in this county has a ford 642 every ran we ran ser#1535 and #2008 these combines are some bean eating machines with the right grain tables on them any one else still using 642 fords

ill get pic up I'm always looking for ford combines I have 6 642s and 2 611s we are going to try to get on 611 out next week get a video of it running beans with a 642

There was a guy called Haley that used to post on here regularly. He ran 642's custom combining until he quit a couple of years ago. He posted lots of info and photos.

Where are you guys located there were 2 or 3 of them a few miles north of me. If I can find Ken I will ask him if he still has them. If he does they haven't been used in 20+ years.

We still use one to harvest , actually have a second one that?s about ready to be back in the field.

we are just south of Louisville ky we just got back in to grain farming this year after a 30 year brake I found the first 642 in MI with 1500 hrs ser#1535 the my dad found #2008 In MN with 715 hrs that baby has a lot options auto steer header control ac air ride seat top of the line for its day then just last week we bought two with hydro's the two we are running are gear drive I hope to have one of the hydros running for next season

where do u get parts for your 642 Hopf Bros AG Repair Inc 2416 S Saint Anthony Rd N, Saint Anthony, IN 47575 they are the go to guys on 642's they can get u anything u need if they don't have it on the shelf

Hey dairyman what part of the country are you in whats the ser# of yours they only made 2010 or 2011 642s the records at claas don't show if 2011 was ever shipped to the US I have #2005 for parts #2008 I'm using and would love to find #2010

Are you the guy one the local craigslist ads looking for 642's?

yes that's me it cheaper to buy a whole combine than it is to buy parts Gabe Hoph he's a great guy I get all my new parts from him took 1 642 to him a few months ago had him go thru it
