Looked at above average 4630HFWA been O.H.d P.S. front end leaks if in use has the cast JD duals.Large frame 1000RPM only tractors are slow sellers and the 20 series HFWA adds but think it might hurt 30/40 series.I was thinking $10K.

I have noticed lately that at least the JD 4430 tractors with HFWD seem to be kinda collectible, but the 4630 tractors have always been lower priced and harder to sell partly because of the 1000 rpm only status on them. We sold 1 JD 4630 with HFWD about 1977 and my uncle bought a new JD 4430 equipped with the HFWA with quad range about 1975 but just sold it about a year ago. We never slod very many of them but remember seeing the front ends apart many times with blown orings.

We have calls for people wanting to remove front wheel drive and convert back to 2WD. I don't think it would add to value over 2WD

We must have gotten one of the good ones. We have been using a 4630, HFWA, PS, as our main field tractor since it was new, around 1974. It now has approximately 6000 hrs on it and has been great with no complaints.
