I have a white tractor (2-70) blowing coolant out of radiator. Doing an in frame now, after i replaced head gasket twice, had the head checked twice and shaved straight. It still blew coolant out of the radiator. Does anyone know what the liner protrusion should be? I need to get this tractor going thanks for any help.

Pressure tested?

Not on a tractor engine, but I had an engine with a crack around an exhaust valve that behaved how you describe.

Did you put new sleeves in it? If you did check the sleeves about 1/4 " down from the top for cracks. The new sleeves aren't made as good as the originals.

Might also want to check the radiator (just for good measure). Had a 1650 come in for repairs and after running 20 minutes it would boil over. Problem was calcium clogged all the internal tubes inside the radiator, coolant had no where to go except out the cap.

I have had a issue close to yours with a reliance head gasket except it was bubbling compression out while running. The only reason I saw it was one of the fuel return tees was leaking fuel and running down on the head gasket. Mine wasn't leaking compression into the coolant that I know of it didn't run long enough to find out. I got a ago gasket coming and will let you know what I find when I get it apart. You could try to warm it up and re-torque it but I have never had luck with that. I think the reliance gaskets have a lot of room for emprovement. And this was on a complete OH for a 1655 all sleeve protrusion were in spec on mine.

When you took the head off, did you notice where the head gasket failed, (i.e. in between cylinders)? Did you have any coolant in the oil pan? Did the engine get hot or very warm (normal heavy work under load) and then you noticed it boiling over? These are some of the things I've run into that can lead to gasket failure as these engines can be sensitive to over heating...(have been guilty of it myself). One other question, is the deck pitted around or near the fire ring on any or all cylinders?
