Working on wiring on M5. Our original only had one light with the switch. Book shows
special lights that mount on front of fenders. Book also shows another switch and fuse.
Just wondering what lights looked like and what mount was used. Also what the switch looked
like and location in dash panel. I might add them as they are shown in sales lit. |

I am thinking that some M5s had round fenders and some of the last ones could have flat top fenders like the 602. The flat top fenders could have one or two lights in each one. So maybe your diagram is trying to show all the possibilities, not exactly what is on your tractor. |

M5 , M602 , 5 Star standard all used same fenders. Flat top not used until M670. Thinking since headlights are in grill, fender mounted ones may have been for a loader. |

Finding a few difference in M5 diesel.. It is a real early one made in 1959. 'Serial is 193.
It has Bosch rotary fuel setup. Decals are red not black like Motec era M5's. Headlight buckets are different. Chassis is Prairie Gold under Dyna brown. Think it began it's days as a 5 Star diesel standard which is same tractor except tin, steering and grill. Had one several years ago wish I would have kept. |

I think the extra lights were just an extra package for extra light. I have some literature or there is a picture in the manual that has a guy out disking that has the fender lights. I believe they were the same style as what is up front or like the M602s had. |
