Find out how the fenders are, these were very thin and can cost some to replace.
The extension rims are a nice extra. He is probably at the high end on price, but
if it holds water, starts good and has good gearing he is not far off.
I started working on a '26 a year ago, it needed a lot and sold at auction for 1900.
There was one on another site in running condition for less than 3k, unpainted.
But you never know what you have until you have it. GREAT old tractor, dual cam and
4 valve, I like em a lot.

Sn 23640 is a 1927 model. In 1926 the 12-20 was re rated to 17-28. I have a 1924 12-20 as
well as a 1930 17-28 with road wheels.(only 2 known)

I've got 2 (IIRC) 12-20's in pieces and mostly outside, in north central ND.

I's always hoped to get one together and running, but that's not gonna happen!

I am saving up to buy a nice 17-30 Minneapolis when I find it and the time is right. My grandpa had one in his collection when I was a kid in the late 80’s. It was restored and looked great.

good morning Thomas, I'm the same as you! I want to buy them all, restore them and keep them rolling but I have most of what I need and will be using in my small haying operation. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my hands on that nice g-1000 in whanam by grande praire. i'll just do my part restoring and using my 2 m-5's, and keep looking for more mm implements I can use with them. so far iv'e found a mm 10 ft. disc, 2 bottom af plow and a 4 bottom. the fun is in the hunt Laughing

17-30 is not a Twin City. 17-30 is a cross mounted Minneapolis.

Thats a cool looking old original! I love the wheel extensions! Critical for all the extra horsepower in tough traction conditions! lol

I've got one very similar, but instead of the belt pulley, mine has a mechanical PTO...

Tom, we might be onto a good system here. John spots tractors for us, and we drag them home! No more hunting for more projects! As if we needed any more, lol!

I have my eye on a couple Molines, but we'll have to see what summer brings. Still digging out of a hole, my truck didn't turn a wheel from August to late November last year. I'll for sure be bringing the Screamin' Demon to the show again this year though!
