Some help please with a Perkins engine.

Thanks for all the help so far. Every little bit of info gained gets me a bit closer!
I was able to get a number (stamped in not cast in) off of the left side of the block, just below the head gasket level, towards the rear. It's 203E49993 From that i'm guessing it's a 4.203 but this number doesn't really jive with what I can find on line.

Dieseltech, I was also able to get a number off of the injector pump. It's 700828 with 143 stamped below it.

Well...I got a little more info on the engine. I found a Perkins dealer here in New Jersey. I gave them the engine number and they called Perkins here in the US. They referred them to Perkins in England who made me confirm the engine number. It turns out that this engine was made in a factory "somewhere in the Spain area" and not in a normal Perkins factory. Possibly a situation where the design was licensed out to another manufacturer? Either way Perkins in the UK had no info on the engine and no contact info for who might be the original manufacturer. Looks like its time to custom build a pan. So much for doing things the easy way!! lol
