My left brake pedal is not functioning correctly and i"m not quite sure how to fix it. It is down all the time, lifts up when you step on the right pedal, and if you lift it up the rod that connects it to the main brake pedal just bows. I"ve heard of this before but I don"t remember what to do.

If it bends like you say then the joint at the rear end of the independent brake pedal is seized. It requires stripping down and cleaning, don't use any oil or grease on these bushes or they will swell and lock the pedal up again, just clean it with emery tape. You then need to adjust the brakes and maybe the rods too as they may have been altered and the brakes won't balance if they are wrong. If you need more help with it, email me at:-
