OK, noticed the pulley on the engine had alot of wobble, so it appears I need to take the front pump shaft out.I managed to get the 4 bolts loosened up,but the shaft does not want to come out of that adapter plate. I do not see any set screw holding it. What is the trick to get it out, i don't see many options, also how the heck does that adapter plate come?

I have a 1957 Ford 600 with loader and has a front mount pump that connects to the front of the engine

Is the shaft rusted tight? I dont think theres a set screw so that it can have a little wiggle room. Does it look like its been wiggling or rusted tight? The steel bushings that the bolts go through are supposed to slide out of the rubber bushing part. I think they will come out as one piece also. You might have to bolt it back up to get it out. It also needs to come out straight. you may have to jack up the tranny some and loosen your front engine bolts and radius arm caps. Im pretty sure it should come out without doing that though. You can use a blow dryer or heat gun to make it swell a little but you would want to take out those rubber bushings first. Soak it with blaster first thing.
