DR ALLIS that is exactly what happened trans ran low on oil. this was working tractor when I got it drove it into the pole barn took off the old tires put on the new bingo what a stroke of bad luck. the pinion bearings must be locked up. didn't force any thing changed all the trans fluid and every thing else. now hoping bearing is just stuck and not damaged any way to free it up

If it was me I would over fill the transmission a bit and then have one rear tire on the ground and block it and also block the front wheel fire it up and put it in 1st gear and spin up the tire that is still off the ground and listen for noises that should not be there. I have an 8N ford that the bearing between the input and out put shaft had froze up and was trying to run 1 to 1 and I over filled the transmission and also poured in a quart of ATF and let it sit. It has a back hoe on it and I took the backhoe off and was going to pull it to the shop. Then figured ah what the heck I'll see if it will pull it self to the shop. I let up on the clutch and it did not move. Put it in gear and all was fine. Before I had over filled it the thing could only be run with the clutch blocked down because the rear tire when off the ground would spin up super fast. Why or how it freed up I do not know but it did and has been fine ever since

If I was going to try to unseized it, I'd do it like this. Refill with at least 7 gallons of hydraulic/transmission fluid. This would require filling thru the two square headed fill plugs ( one just ahead and the other just behind) around where the clutch pedal is. You'll get a total of 4 gallons in thru the plugs. Then for the last 3 gallons, I'd remove the rubber boot and snap ring from the gearshift and pour the rest in thru there. Pull the gearshift out when in neutral and don't lose the square headed side pins!! might only be one but could be two of them. Get gearshift back installed and start the engine. Try to get it to break loose in low gear and maybe reverse. If it frees up you are a lucky man. I'd leave it jacked up in the air to do all this.
