Guys,

I've got a Ford 5600 tractor, and I'm looking at a Ford loader on Craigslist that used to fit a Ford 4000. Can anyone tell me if a loader that fits a 4000 would be compatible with a 5600 without heavy
modification?

Thanks,

Tool

Depends on which model. The 772 , among others, fit both 3 and 4 cylinder models.

Depends on which 4000 it was on. If it was on a pre-1965 4 cylinder 4000 then no, it probably won't fit. If it was a 1965+ 3 cylinder 4000 then there's a chance, as the only difference in mounting points between a 4000 and a 5000 is the distance from the front bolster to the rear axle, and some of the Ford loaders back then were made to fit both.

Thanks for the replies guys! They did not
know the age of the 4000. The loader had
been removed and the 4000 already sold.
They also didn"t know the model of the
loader so I passed.
