i know i'm going to catch hell for this but any ideas would sure help this rookie. My 1958 841 had a good paint job on it the grey had to be sprayed bby a pro he used a hardner its very glossy and thick and don't chip easy.the motor wasn't i'm just finishing rebuilding the upper end head job valves carb and a new intake i rebuilt the carb and shined it up nice i have all the old c clamps for the tubes i have tpainted the air cleaner air tube the powersteering pump the brackets for everything . the fan and shroud basicly everything that is red or black with spray cans . i went down to bare metal on every part i used primer like 5 or 6 coats i let it dry i my house for a week then paint the other part with NH correct paint also 5 or 6 coats it looks very good has a good shine . I was wondering if i can clearcoat all my hard work or just wax it ? i don't have the shop or tools to paint it with a sprayer so i could have add a hardener i am hoping a clearcoat will ad like a hardener thanks gentlmen
