hello everyone, I have found an older archived thread describing the removal of a housing cover to access the screen and filter for the 3pt hydraulics. the post also said there was a similar access point to clean out the case o matic. the tractor S/N is 8160373. Does anyone know where that access point is ? or can anyone steer me in the right direction ?

On the RH side of your tractor just behind the engine is a rectangular cover. on the bottom of that cover is an oval cover held on with 4 3/8" bolts. Remove the bolts and the filter will be in there.
It is a bit to hard to see in pics, because of the custom steps that I have on my 831C.

Thank you.

I located it removed the bolts but was unable to get cover off. Is there any trick to it ? Or will I have to remove the larger housing sureounding the oval (part A11566) ?

Also, for The 3pt hydraulic reservoir. Is there a fill mark or plug that I can use to know how much to fill. There is a threaded plug in the center of the plate that was removed.
